New license holders slow down in Croatia!

Be careful when you drive to Croatia with a driving license of the B group.

In general, the following speed limits apply:

In municipalities

generally 50 km/h

Outside municipalities – roads

passenger cars, motorbikes 90 km/h

Outside municipalities – expressways

passenger cars, motorbikes 110 km/h

Outside municipalities – highways

passenger cars, motorbikes 130 km/h

BUT:

Fresh drivers that have driving license for less than 2 years must follow the following speed limits:

Roads outside municipalities 80 km/h

Expressways 100 km/h

Highways 120 km/h
