The year-round vignette in the Czech Republic will rise by 140 crowns to 2440 CZK from January
The increase (or even decrease) of rates is based on 2 fixed criteria. The first is the year-on-year development of the average annual consumer price index as determined by the CSO and the second is the year-on-year change in the length of highways in operation as recorded by the Ministry of Transport, both expressed as a percentage. The sum of the two percentages is used to adjust the annual vignette rate. The rates of other vignettes are derived from its value rounded down to the nearest ten crowns. The price of vignettes will be adjusted in this way for the first time from 1 January 2025.
🪙 The monthly payment for cars with combustion engines will increase by CZK 30 to CZK 460, the ten-day stamp will rise by CZK 20 to CZK 290 and the one-day stamp by CZK 10 to CZK 210. Cars running on compressed and liquefied natural gas and biomethane have half the rates, while owners of plug-in hybrids, i.e. rechargeable cars with both electric and combustion engines, will pay a quarter of the normal price.
