Zou can request to replace an expiring driver´s license elecronically.

Instead of visiting the office, the application can be sent electronically via the Citizen Portal (https://obcan.portal.gov.cz/) using a data box.

Normal exchange is free, a new driver’s license can be picked up at any of the 206 municipal offices of municipalities with extended jurisdiction. You can apply for a new license no earlier than 90 days before the end of validity.

You can log in, for example, via eCitizenship, eGovernment mobile key, data box or bank identity. The portal displays a form that is pre-filled with data from the central register of drivers.

The condition for sending a request is to have the data box of a natural person connected. Its use during eSubmission ensures clear identification of the person submitting the application.
